Annotation

The article analyses the system of patriotic education of seniors at Dagestan high schools. Proceeding from the research data and experimental work, the authors try to answer the following questions: “What new results of patriotic education can be achieved nowadays?”, “What ways of making good progress in this area demand additional experimental proof?”, “What are the specific principles, forms and methods of the organization of patriotic education at various stages of school education?”, “How to provide efficient patriotic education in new social conditions and new educational systems, observing the unity of theory and practice?”, “What changes in the organization of patriotic education will be initiated by cooperation between school and other social institutions?” The main concept elaborated in the paper refers to the system of deliberate work of school staff aimed at development of social and patriotic behavior skills.
