SYNTHESIS OF TRADITIONAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER GRAPHICS AS THE FOUNDATION OF MODERN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Annotation

The article is devoted to application of the integrated technique of teaching engineering and computer graphics with use of the graphical system KOMPAS-3D. The system KOMPAS-3D enables to accompany theoretical provisions of the studied discipline with specific illustrations and examples of computer drawings. This feature makes it possible to develop student’s skills of designing products on the computer at an early stage of studies. Studying fundamental standards alongside with development of the corresponding computer commands for creating correct drawings enhances the process of learning and develops students’ interest to the studied discipline. According to the paper, the offered integrated technology of teaching engineering and computer graphics intensifies perception of the material, improves presentation stage and increases efficiency of academic process. The offered teaching method improves computer preparation from the first year of studies at higher education institutions.
