Annotation

The article dwells on the requirements that future experts on international affairs, graduates of the faculty of political science of MGIMO, should meet. In particular, the paper touches upon the requirements to the level of their communicative competence. The author analyzes the structure of communicative competence, its sub-competences. The paper also defines the concept “interactive technology”, singles out its main types and describes its benefits for teaching and learning a foreign language. The author of the article gives a step-by-step description to the application of different types of interactive technologies which can be effectively employed to shape communicative competence as the significant part of teaching a foreign language at a higher educational institution.
