Annotation

The article examines various methodological ideas concerning the definition of the concept “educational environment”. The essence of the humanitarian educational environment is scrutinized through its interpretation as a part of social and cultural space and as a social and pedagogical phenomenon. The author proves the necessity of practical realization of creation, development and functioning of the humanitarian educational environment of the technical higher educational establishment in order to develop a new type of engineer.
