PRIORITIES OF CIVIL EDUCATION IN SPAIN AT THE BEGINNINGS OF XXI CENTURY

Annotation

The article deals with priorities of civil education in general educational establishments of modern Spain. The author describes the purposes, problems and education content of forming moral and legal culture in the Spanish youth. It is shown that some features of civil education in Spain are caused by cultural traditions as well as by modern social, economic and political factors. The article proves importance of theoretical substantiation of civil education ideas in modern conditions of society development. The content of textbooks on the subject “Civil Education and Human Rights” is also characterized which enables to understand the heart matter of civil education in Spain. The generalized experience of civil education in Spain will allow raising potential of civil and legal culture of schoolchildren, according to the author.
