PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS: PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES
Annotation
The article deals with psychological aspects of activity performance, in particular, comparison between professionals and amateurs. The author reveals distinctions between professionals and amateurs which depend on their ethnic identity, a kind of activity they are involved in, and professional environment. It is shown that implications developed in person’s mind in relation to the carried out activity determine some features of its realization and form the corresponding behavioral responses. Professionals traditionally treat activity as a difficult, intense and responsible kind of work which leads to precise regulation of its purposes and challenges and domination of professional behavior. In amateur views about activity positive emotions prevail. They treat activity as something interesting, varied, generating interesting contacts. It can cause displays of carelessness, dreamy attitude and even fussiness.Key words
