PSYCHOLOGICAL PREPARATION OF A TEACHER: TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE APPROACHES

Annotation

The article dwells upon the main approaches to psychological preparation of a teacher which have developed in the Russian educational practice. It is shown that education should turn into the setting which brings up personality, forms psychological values and mechanisms of getting to know the world of personal senses and ideas of different generations. The importance of psychological preparation of a teacher is proved by the idea that it is he who is really engaged in semantic construction of psychology of the concrete person, forming its developing, prognostic and constructive functions. The author supports the idea that psychological preparation should be included in the system of pedagogical education in the status of system-forming factor, in spite of the fact that it is carried out basically in the same traditions which were characteristic for previous stages of its development.
