Annotation

The article deals with pedagogical potential of virtual social networks in work with children and youth in educational establishments. Requirements of various spheres of life of modern society compel the person to be as much as possible dependent on technologies, thus, reducing natural communication space. Virtual culture starts to replace real interpersonal relations and the Internet gives the unlimited communicative opportunities lacking in real communication. Modern reality makes a teacher become an active Internet user, be able to use this space in educational and academic process. Reasonable application of virtual social networks in pedagogical activity will allow reaching the strategic purpose of assistance to favorable socialization of children and youth.
