DEVELOPMENT OF VALUE ORIENTATIONS OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN DURING GRAPHIC ACTIVITY
AnnotationThe article provides definitions to the concepts “value” and “value orientations”. The concept of value orientations is specified with reference to preschool age. The author presents methodological grounds for development of value orientations of children which include: axiological approach, ideas of culture-congruent approach, activity-based approach. The author proves that reassessment of values, changes of their hierarchical system, statement of the priority of universal values in public consciousness demand modernization of the content and technologies employed for organization of painting activity of children in preschool educational organizations. Immersion into painting activity and atmosphere of creativity contributes to satisfaction of children’s needs for active knowledge of something new, acts as effective means of value orientations development. The attitude to painting is formed at the level of child’s consciousness where special place is taken by value orientations. The a
