The manager in his professional activity aspires after success, productivity and communication. The result and efficiency of the activity of a modern leader is determined by his psychological competence as the subject of professional interaction. The article dwells upon the concept «competence», its aspects. It also focuses on the dependence of high quality management on the professionalism of the manager.
