In the article «IIliteracy campaign on Don (1920–1927)» the problems of development of national education on Don, the role of the state and society in the campaign of illiteracy are considered. The purpose of the given article is revealing of the features of educational process, ways of illiteracy campaign of the population in the difficult historical period of the 20-s.
