ISSUES OF PREPARATION OF AN INDEPENDENT FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER CAPABALE OF PEDAGOGICAL CONSULTANTING

Annotation

In the article the author considers ways of modernising higher pedagogical education, particularly the development of professional autonomy of the teacher. The article covers the current problems of foreign language teachers’ professional autonomy development in Russia. The author describes the system of student training in the pedagogical universities in Europe and analyses the results of some European projects for modernisation of training foreign language teachers. The aim of these projects is a professional autonomous teacher of foreign languages as a consultant. The author suggests a new technology and a number of ideas concerning the improvement of professional skills.
