PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE NATIONAL CHARACTER OF REGIONAL ETHNIC GROUPS (CASE-STUDY OF MORDOVIA)

Annotation
The article defines psychological features of the national character of the regional ethnic groups of Mordovia. According to the authors, national traits of character, traditions and customs determine transfer of historic experience from generation to generation. In its turn, it shapes historic development of the nation, cognitive, emotional and affective processes of its people, the code of practice and situational components, current psychological disposition of the ethnic group as well as general system of values of the ethnos. The authors of the article share the results of the research into value implications of the three ethnic groups (Russian, Erzya and Moksha) of Mordovia. They single out the following values: family, health, education level, personal development and love. As for similarities and differences, the researchers have found out that Erzya and Moksha reveal the greatest similarity both in terms of correlation of values and Euclid distance.
