DIDACTIC ASPECT OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF PROBLEM-BASED TEACHING IN CONTEMPORARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Annotation

The article reveals the didactic aspect of problem-based teaching in modern vocational education. According to the paper, nowadays colleges and technical schools are supposed to arrange academic process that meets the demands of various social partners that want to employ highly qualified graduates who are able to think out of the box and have good decision-making skills. According to the paper, it is impossible to reach without using the technology of problem-based teaching and learning. Problem-based learning is seen as well-structured work of students aimed at gaining knowledge and skills while solving certain problems. Solving the set tasks means defining the heart matter of the problem to be solved and finding the best solution as a result of some cognitive procedures, such as giving grounds, making suggestions and controlling the final decision. The author proves that the given technique promotes development of critical thinking skills of future employees.
