DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ TOLERANCE AT FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES IN THE CONTEXT OF POLYCULTURAL ACADEMIC SETTING
Annotation
The article deals with pedagogical conditions and technologies which promote students’ tolerance as the crucial part of learning English in the context of polycul-tural educational space. The problem of shaping tolerant attitude is getting special importance at higher educational institutions due to a large number of students that come from different cultural and religious backgrounds. The article emphasizes the important role of the dialogue of cultures and collaborative creative activities for establishment of equality and respect between communication participants, exchange of values, shaping well-balanced emotional and cognitive spheres of pupils, increase in the interest to the Indonesian and Russian cultures, satisfaction of students’ need for self-expression. The author offers the program for evaluation of the efficiency of the offered didactic technologies for developing tolerance at English classes in the context of polycultural educational space and provides analysis of the rKey words
