GENESIS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN TERMS OF GENDER PERSPECTIVE
Annotation
The article describes certain stages in development of higher education in Russia from gender perspective and in terms of post-industrial concept of society periodiza-tion. The author dwells on the main gender-related tendencies of differentiation and hierarchy in male and female higher education which arose during the preindustrial era and that are fixed in the industrial and post-industrial society in the form of gender asymmetry. Gender approach is treated as a result of progressive changes in the theory and practice of professional education and as a factor of its enhancement during the post-industrial period.Key words
