DEVELOPMENT OF THE ITALIAN MODEL OF SELF-ORGANIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY IN THE 17–19th CENTURIES

Annotation

The article deals with the main directions and characteristic features of self-organization model of scientific community in Italy of the Enlightenment and the Risorgimento. The paper analyzes interrelation between cultural, social and political life of the Italian states, on the one hand, and genesis of the national scientific infrastructure and collective activities of scientists, on the other. The author provides detailed description of the role and place of Milan “Academy of fists” (1760th) in the history of the Italian and European science in general. The paper also covers typical features of scientific community in another center of the Italian Education – Naples. Particular emphasis is placed on the important contribution of scientists and researchers to the national liberation movement of the people of Italy against overseas domination and the subsequent formation of the independent state.
