ANDREY TIMOFEYEVICH BOLOTOV – THE FOUNDER OF THE FIRST CHILDREN THEATER IN RUSSIA

Annotation

This article discusses the stages of formation and development of the first children theatre in Russia and its great founder A.T. Bolotov. The author draws readers’ attention to children’s repertoire for performances and features of its selection. Special attention is given to literary works which were chosen in accordance with the children’s age of and characteristics of theatrical art. A.T. Bolotov in the theatre used to be its Director and playwright, screenwriter and artist. A.T. Bolotov used children theatre for shaping and developing child’s personality, moral qualities and socialization purposes. This was the first Russian theatre where actors were children.
