ABOUT KEY PERSONAL FEATURES OF EXTREME SPORTS ATHLETES

Annotation

The paper deals with achievement of good results in extreme sports while keeping appropriate safety of athletes in terms of biological survival. The authors suggest certain solution to this problem by finding out and developing the key features of extreme sports athletes which guarantee safety in extreme situations. The article provides the following list of the key features: extended consciousness which contains the amount of information which makes it possible to make the right decision adequate to the goal; emotional stability reached by control of motivational mechanisms of the personality; stability of homeostasis (psychophysiological stability) in rapidly changing outer and inner conditions of extreme activities; spiritual predictors of success and safety of activities in extreme situations: high moral qualities, aspiration, will and faith.
