TO THE ISSUE OF PREPARING FUTURE TEACHERS FOR PROFESSIONAL ADAPTATION IN THE POLYCULTURAL SPACE OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Annotation

The article describes results of the research into motives that underpin the choice of a pedagogical profession and reasons for the relevance of the problem under study. The paper analyses various approaches to the concept, types, periods, stages, structures of professional adaptation and its definition. Criteria of professional adaptivity as a result of professional adaptation are defined. The authors state the urgent need to improve preparation of teachers for professional adaptation in the context of multicultural space of higher education institution on the basis of culture-congruent, systematic, competence-based, axiological and activity-based approaches.
