FOREIGN EXPERIENCE OF ENCOURAGING SOCIAL INITIATIVE AND ACTIVE LIFE POSITION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Annotation

The article presents the review of foreign experience in patriotic education aimed at development of social initiative and active life position of children and youth. Nowadays encouraging social initiative and active position is especially relevant all over the world. In economically developed countries fostering active life standpoint and supporting social initiatives are significant aspects of modern educational policy. Social initiative starts to be cultivated at elementary school. Pupils learn to make out their social initiatives in the form of projects, to calculate their economic effects and resources required, to find and attract supporters, to gain assistance from community, authorities and mass media. The authors of the article claim that public structures for realization of social initiatives, created by children and youth, are built into the system of support provided by state and public institutions which in turn promotes personal growth and further development of young peo
