PROJECTING THE TECHNOLOGY OF SHAPING IDEAS ABOUT THE HOMETOWN OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Annotation

The article covers the logic of technology aimed at shaping preschoolers’ ideas about the hometown. The authors have worked out and implemented the project called “Technologies of Shaping Children Ideas about their Hometown”. The main types of technologies chosen include value-oriented, research and communicative ones. Knowledge about distinctive features and sights of the city are substantial and target components of the project. It also includes the knowledge about value of the city traditions, knowledge about the local culture, people and behavior in the city. Special attention is paid to the spatial environment of a preschool organization which is filled with the objects that tell about the history and the present of the hometown, its places of interest, achievements of its people. The authors prove that the objects around a child become the means of accumulation, transformation of historical experience only when surrounding objects induce children and adults to use traditions and
