THE SYSTEM OF DEVELOPING SCIENTIFIC CONCEPTS AND JUDGMENTS IN THE SCHOOL COURSE OF GEOGRAPHY
Annotation
The article draws readers’ attention to didactic features of teaching geography at school, specific aspects of the subject, problems, content and research methods applied in geographical science. The author distinguishes three types of concepts: individual, collective and general (concrete, abstract, speculative); true and false fundamental concepts; judgments and practical skills accompanied with spatial and emotional images. The paper reveals the process of developing scientific concepts influenced by certain criteria: consistency and complementarity.Key words
