Annotation

Proceeding from the review of psychological and pedagogical literature, the article covers the main features and structure of pedagogical monitoring. The author gives review to different interpretations of pedagogical monitoring and the main features of the concept under study. The paper also describes functions (analytical, assessing, informational, controlling, motivational, adjusting and prognostic), principles (personal feasibility, prognostic directivity, pedagogical communication, social and normative conditionality, information integrity, scientific nature, integrity, continuity, eligibility) and the algorithm of pedagogical monitoring.
