ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITY AS AN INNOVATIVE FORM OF ORGANIZATION OF A COMPETITIVE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Annotation

The article discusses objective reasons of the crisis of modern university education which include reduction of public funding, shift in demand for narrow professional education and practical applicability of knowledge, the new policy of the state aimed at making levels of development of regions similar, responsibility for which is conferred on universities. According to the author, the main way of overcoming the existing problems is to change an organizational form of the universities when they turn from special social institutions into entrepreneurial organizations. The characteristic features of this type of university will enable it to fulfill the main functions in new social and economic cotext.
