THE USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN COMPULSORY EDUCATION OF ADULTS – CASE STUDY OF AUSTRIA AND GERMANY

Annotation

The article gives a review to the experience of introducing advanced information technologies in compulsory education of adults in Germany and Austria. The research data can be useful for experts and researchers who work on curriculum development in this field of education in our country. The authors claim that first of all it is necessary to define how and to what degree ICT influence the segment of education discussed in this article and its target audience. One more issue under study is how didactic reorientation in the system of compulsory education for adults influences the choice of the training program and educational and methodical materials. The conclusion is drawn on the content of the main criterion of successful activity of teachers - professional development, continuous self-education and keeping interested in new technologies and media.
