SOME ASPECTS OF ABILITY OF BILINGUAL CHILDREN TO ACQUIRE A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Annotation
The article gives a brief analysis of the study into ability of bilingual children to acquire a foreign language in the situation of natural bilingualism. By means of the technique of dichotic listening, the researcher defines indicators of efficiency and productivity of reproduction of auditory information. Significant differences between monolinguals and bilinguals in reproduction efficiency are revealed. The author proves that bilingual children better perceive information by ear in comparison with monolingual children. This is due to early formation of vertical links which make it possible to develop a certain strategy of speech activity.Key words
