Annotation

The authors elaborate structural and functional components and criteria of the civic consciousness shaped by educational means in foreign affairs students. The paper describes application of the functional approach based on the theory created by the famous American sociologists (R. Merton, T. Parsons). According to the article, development of civic consciousness of a student of international profile assumes development of a certain structure and arrangement of components, such as cognitive, social, moral, initiative, active position, emotional and willful constituents, seen as a set of interconnected qualities of the personality.
