GENDER CATEGORIZATION IN SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Annotation

The article takes a historical look at the category of gender and analyzes its dynamic entity and sociocultural conditionality. The author compares the concepts sex, gender and androgen as being biologically, socially and psychologically determined. The paper provides some data on advantages of androgenic type of behavior of participants of educational process at higher educational institutions which differs in communicative competence and allows adapting to the changing environment, to be open to innovations and creative activities. Gender is considered to be the major public institution, the organizing principle of society which corresponds to the ideas of neo-institutionalism.
