PECULIARITIES OF STUDENTS’ AUTONOMY DEVELOPMENT EMPIRIC RESEARCH

Annotation

The article deals with a pedagogical experiment aimed at development of the learner’s autonomy. The learner’s autonomy implies integrative characteristics of mental processes, character and abilities within versatile learner’s activities in the process of getting a higher education. The research consists of four stages. At the first stage the working hypothesis is put forward, the control and experimental groups are selected. The following stages include the final psychological diagnostics of the learners, teaching based on the author’s program which focuses on teacher-student collaboration and goal setting.
