Annotation

This article analyses the existing theoretical approaches to the development of the Russian schoolchildren patriotic education ideology. The author pinpoints a number of factors hindering the process of patriotic spirit development and negatively influencing teaching at schools. The problems faced by the society during the period of reformation are also stated in the article. The author analyses a great number of works of the Russian scholars offering different opinions on patriotism as the central component of the concept of Russian society unification and consolidatoin.
