BRIEF SURVEY OF CONTINUOUS EDUCATION IN FRANCE

Annotation

The article presents a brief survey of the French continuous education. The system is at the stage of formation; it influences the main tasks, organisation and methods of education at all levels of the modern education system. The following elements can be distinguished in its structure such as base education (junior, elementary, secondary and senior, high school), continuous professional training, and adult education including «universities of the third age». The system of continuous education in France is considered to be a single complex functioning on the basisof subordination at all stages, intercommunication and coordination of different kinds of educational establishments.
