ESSENCE AND CONTENT OF THE CATEGORY “SPIRITUALITY” IN PEDAGOGICAL SCIENCE

Annotation

The article shows the variety of meanings of the term “spirituality” in secular and religious aspects. The author gives a thorough analysis of the concepts “spirit” and “spirituality” in various areas of knowledge including philosophy of education. The concepts of belief, conscience, justice, freedom and love are examined as substantial components of human spirituality. The author makes an attempt to summarise the scientific views on the essence and content of spirituality as a category of modern pedagogical science.
