Annotation

The research is centred around the development of pedagogical university students’ information and computer competence at information technology and computer science lessons. The research aims at analysing the following concepts: «competence», «professional competence», revealing the essence of the category «information competence of future teachers», stage description of this category development at computer science and information technology lessons. The author defines three stages of the competence development model: initial, basic professional and subject-focused and summarises the content of students’ education at each stage
