Annotation

The aim of this article is study the peculiarities of the civicism idea development in public thought and history of pedagogy. The article focuses on one of the most important tasks of modern pedagogy in the new conditions, i.e. achievement of the high standard of civic consciousness. This, in its turn, suggests developing abilities to study the relations between the man and the nature, technology and manufacturing techniques, the system of social and political relations from a new angle.
