Annotation

The article offers the basics of innovative expert development in vocational training system. The author suggests the meaning and maintenance of competence approach in this development that is connected with new direction in the activity of higher schools – personality developing approach, enabling to prepare not just some graduate, but a creative person capable of building his own life, work in uncertain conditions, with social and technological innovations. The author gives reasons in favour of competence models of training, their difference from traditional knowledge-oriented approach which determines expediency of a ñompetent specialist development in modern social conditions.
