TRADITIONS OF PEOPLE’S SELF-CORRECTION IN ANCIENT CULTURES
Annotation
The article is devoted to the formation of the idea of convicts’ self-correction. The analysis aimed at exposing the basic principles of self-correction process is made from the point of view of history and pedagogy on the basis of main religious and philosophical writings of ancient Indian and Chinese authors. In this connection the author sets the task to determine the bounds of self-determination and main components of self-correction of a person as well as to find the conditions of successful realization of the process. Also the article focuses on the conceptual model of self-correction of convicts in which the development of consciousness and growth of dignity play the main roles. Humanism and consistency of intentions and acts are regarded as pedagogical principles of self-correction process realization.Key words
