Annotation

The article describes some techniques for devising professional competence assessment tool of a specialist in the field of theoretical and applied linguistics. The developed and approved linguistic assessment tool reflects the level of General English knowledge and can be applied to the analysis of graduates’ professional competence in foreign languages.
