Annotation

Juvenile delinquency continues to be one of the most burning problems of humanity in the 21st century. This article analyses the modern state of the USA juvenile court from the point of view of its social-educational aspect. The article reviews a number of specific features of the conservative and liberal perspectives of the American juvenile court and determines the place of the social-educational component in each of them. The author also reveals the main principles of delinquency treatment in the modern strategies of the USA juvenile justice system.
