TO THE PROBLEM OF DEVELOPING SELF-PERCEPTION AS A FUTURE MEMBER OF THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES

Annotation

The article is devoted to one of the most topical problems in the pedagogical science and practice – moral preparation of the Russian youth for fulfilling their civil duty – military service. The author reveals its main principle, i.e. development of social and status self-perception as a future military man and an actual member of armed forces. The meaning of the terms “status” and “social status” is clarified. The author gives a definition of the notion “social and status attitude” as a new scientific category. The article also analyses the motives for choosing military service as a profession.
