SELF-DETERMINATION OF THE TEACHER AS A KEY SOURCE FOR STUDENTS’ SPIRITUAL AND MORAL DEVELOPMENT

Annotation

The article is devoted to the maintenance of spiritual and moral development of secondary school students. The author believes that the main source of the given approach is the teacher’s self-determination. On this basis it is possible to identify the demanded pedagogical position. The article lists basic components of the teacher’s attitude to his/her own position on the basis of self-determination. The author also reveals integrated characteristics of the teacher’s personality determining its uniqueness. The article proves that the research environment created by the teacher promotes the development of reflective abilities of participants and possibilities of conscious analysis of their actions in the context of their future life.
