Annotation

The article deals with the question of professional activities of higher educational institution lecturers. It focuses on the content and structure of the psychological and pedagogical competence of academicians in a higher technical educational institution. The author also sets criteria and levels of psychological and pedagogical competence, develops a model of its development in the system of professional retraining designed for lecturers of higher technical educational establishments.
