Annotation
When a schoolboy enters a certain social environment, he/she incessantly transforms his/her high psychic functions and system of signs. Consideration of peculiarities of learning activities at school presupposes that the subject of analysis is students’ reflection ability. Development delays may be accounted for by various social conditions, genetic peculiarities and inner position of a school child. A number of causes explain a student’s motivation to develop, reflect, a child’s active mental activities or indifference towards thinking as a form of cognitive activity. In the latter case the meaning of school activities for a child is going down as well.Key words
theoretical thinking, higher mental functions, formal thinking, intellectual potential, stable motivation.
