Annotation

New socio-economic conditions draw higher school professors’ attention to the necessity of improving the training of specialists on the basis of the organic combination of professional education with further improvement of the level of their fundamental training. One of the strategic ways of solving this problem is to raise the scientific level of engineers’ training on the basis of wide use of the modern mathematical science. The article deals with potential possibilities of problem training methods in the development professionally directed teaching of mathematics to students of higher technical institutions.
