Annotation

The article is aimed at describing the substantial basis and principles of social education of physically challenged children and teenagers. Social education of physically challenged children and teenagers consists in instilling in them universal values, among which the most significant are “person”, “health”, “family”, “work”. The author shows that principles of social pedagogy can be used in organization and realization of educational process with physically challenged children and teena gers. These principles allow considering a physically challenged person the subject of his/her own development.
