Annotation

The author carries out the comparative analysis of pedagogical technologies of teaching a native language in England and in Russia in the poly-lingual environment. It is underlined that the major task of the language policy in England is teaching to communicate. Special attention is paid to communicative teaching methods. The author presents theoretical grounds to the idea that teaching within the poly-lingual environment should be backed up by a native language as the comparative analysis of linguistic phenomena in native and studied languages favours quick and effective awareness of objective laws of the studied language.
