Annotation

The article is devoted to the problems of the Russian education in the context of the competence approach. The author considers the prospects of higher education from the point of view of Russia’s participation in the Bologna process, processes of higher education modernization in the context of globalization and, at the same time, taking into account the necessity of adoption of certain positive aspects of the Russian system of education.
