Annotation

The article is devoted to the prospects of pedagogical education development in Southern Federal University determined by new requirements to the teacher’s training and the influence on the educational space of the federal district. The authors reveal the problems accompanying teacher training and ways of their solution found in Southern Federal University Pedagogical Institute. It should be stressed that all the Bachelor, Specialist and Master programs and syllabi meet the requirements to the teacher working according to the competence educational model aimed at the development of students’ cognitive abilities, needs and motives. The article lists examples of the Institute’s innovative activities in the new socio-cultural, economic and psychological and pedagogical situation.
