Annotation

The article focuses on gender identity mechanisms development, analyses the influence of social stereotypes on the development of psychological sex identity of a person, lists a number of researches on the given problem. The authors reveal the dependence of teenagers’ gender identity on the peculiarities of their parents’ professional activities as one of the social factors determining the development of a certain type of gender in teenagers.
