PROBLEMS IN SCIENTIFIC SUPERVISION OF PHD STUDENTS

Annotation

The article is devoted to analysis of interaction between scientific supervisors and Ph.D. students. It describes the following problems: financial and career motivation of scientific supervisors (instead of scientific goals), insufficient understanding of functions that a scientific supervisor must fulfill and lack of necessary competences. A detailed description of these problems in the field of economical science is given. The author offers some solutions to these problems.
